Abstract

In this article a short review of energetics aspects of different phases of the Southwest Monsoon has been presented. For doing so, initially a few basic concepts of atmospheric energetics have been discussed. Afterwards different energy conversion processes under different schemes have been discussed. Then energetics aspects of different phases of monsoon have been discussed.
