VayuMandal is the official scientific journal of the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS). Established in 1971, the journal serves as a dedicated platform for the exchange of knowledge, research findings, and developments in the fields of meteorology, atmospheric sciences, weather, climate, hydrology, and related disciplines.
Published on a semi-annual basis, VayuMandal features original research papers, and review articles that contribute to advancing scientific understanding and practical applications in meteorology and allied sciences. The journal also publishes special issues covering significant weather events, climate variability, forecasting techniques, and other emerging topics of national and international relevance.
With contributions from students, researchers, academics, and professionals across India and abroad, VayuMandal aims to foster scientific exchange and strengthen the meteorological community. It also provides a platform for young scientists and early-career researchers to showcase their work.
